It features several historical markings of interest — the barrel shroud is marked dot 1944 with the serial number 1729 below it — it was produced by Waffenwerke Brunn AG, Brno, of Czechoslovakia. The top cover has the number 963 with a Johannes Grossfus of Dobeln marking below it. The feed tray is marked with an S/243 making it originate from the MauserWerke AG, Werk Borsigwalde of Berlin-Borsigwalde.
